Platic Pack: the new revelation of powerpop/dance music…

Plastic pack, dj-singer powerpop/dance, a real revelation for music.
German boy, very white skin and blond hair the classic boy you can fall in love with , but these are only the physical characteristics, if we add his musical talent we can see the profile of one of the boys that are destined to became a new idol of the girl all over the world.
His melodic and less sung music is very repetitive, and this repetitive sound stays inside, leaves you with a catchy tune that you sing and sing all the time.
He has surely a very commercial style but at the same time very original.
His first songs are: “Stop loving” and “Less talk, more pop”, this last song is sung in collaboration with a woman singer, however more sung than the first, but still in his distinctive style.
For hear his first album we have to be patient, but for 2011 we should have it.
But now I want to hear your opinion about this boy, his music, his talent (comment and if there are any questions I will be happy to answer them).  

“BONJOUR”: the new video of Dari…

Well… as I promised I start with a new article on Dari… this time I found my inspiration on release of the new video of the band from Aosta. The video is that of the song “Bonjour”.
I’m sorry but this time I don’t like it very much but I must admit that it is a catchy tune and you continue to sing it all day long.  But Dario if you want to dedicate this song to your girlfriend, poor girl, if I was her, I would throw it back in your face. Surely a more commercial sound and different from the other songs of the band. But even if it’s different, it seems, specially the start of the video a of continuation of  “Da me”, but also a broke at the same time; and this is clear on the tv at the start of the video that shows an image of the video of the other song that is later destroyed soon after surely the technique is there, as always, in the singing as well as in the sound… they ale are  good musicians and they showed ones again that if a person is good they can play and sing well more music genres…

Miky: the new star of music scene!

Miky, or Michela Maridati, 19 years old, but a talent that fiew people have, a real revelation for music today. A fantastic voice, an inimitable style, impossible to describe this girl, this musical phenomenon, who when sings Celin Dion is capable to the give you the shivers and string emotions.
Her first album “Diavolo tu” that was released in December, in Italy, (that I recommend you by ranges in more music genres, the songs written by her speak about her emotions, her life and we can feel emotions, they come in the deep of our soul, they leave a sign inside. In the CD, besides, we can hear a high influence by Laura Pausini.
Certainly her life is for music, a life in music.
Good Miky, keep it up and you will go places.   

Guitarjamman: a guitarist who knows how to make people dream

His real name is Mario, is 36 years old and was born on May 23 1974. He comes from Grosseto in Tuscany, and he is a guitarist.

In addition to playing, his passion since he was small, he has been working for a warehouse and as been teaching guitar to children.

His first teacher (who was from Sardinia), in Porto Ercole, was Franco Cannas, Franco said the hippie. Then he studied at the Lizard, and now at the Academy of Rockland in Grosseto.

The first live was a filler of a dance show, then among his many live shows we must remember, that in 2003 he played with Tukulka at the “Maremma Rock &Wine”.

During the live shows he feels great freedom and energy, but when he plays alone he feels more freedom to be able to experience everything he wants, of course, talking about music and melody.

He is inspired by musicians of various music genres, such as Guns N’Roses, Megadeth, Metallica, Litfiba, Timoria, Negrita, PFM, Nomadi; but if we talk about guitarists he likes those with a personal style that you recognize by ear.

Well… then to judge him just hear his music… especially when he  plays Mozart on the guitar… a phenomenon… keep it up and good luck!!!   

Dari: a niche phenomenon everybody talk about

Well… Dari are a band who plays a genre called “emotronick” but what is it this new genre? As already said several times in their interviews, the word “emo” means the emotions of sing-songwriting, while the word “tronick” comes from electronic music, therefore their playing style.

One of the band, as per their own definition, of niche, but of who everybody talks about. Many people appreciate them and many criticize them, but everyone talks about them… maybe also thanks to their third place at the “MTV-The summer songs 2010”.

However we must remember, that, they didn’t pass auditions of  “Sanremo giovani” (wrong choice in my opinion).

Dari, name of art of Dario (even if there are doubts on his name, some people say it’s Massimo) Pirovano, born in Aosta, in 1982. Dario gave his name to the band, in fact the project was born as a garage solo artist. Subsequently it grew bigger when Fabio and Cadio joined from other bands, as well as Willy, a drummer, who after “Wale tanto Wale” unfortunately left them and after several auditions they found Fasa, also thanks to the web. The project started in 2004, all ideas are shared and it is a democratic project. Dari is the lead singer and guitarist (electric guitar). When they were at school Dari and Fabio were in two rival bands. Dario had a punk-rock band, and his friend called him the “compa-punk”. Their musical influence are electro-dance and electronic in general, as well as the song of Alberto Camerini “Rock’n’roll robot”, which they still play in their concerts.

Fabio, is always been unpopular because of  his purple hair, seen as an eccentric in a small city like Aosta. His real name is Fabio Cuffari and he is the bass player and the second singer of the group. In the past he was a member of a punk-rock band. His music is influenced by Depeche Mode.

Cadio, the real name is Andrea Cadioli, is the keyboard player. He did lots of voluntary work (entertainer, but now he stopped because he has no time) for the catholic church. Surely he is every mother’s dream for their daughters, but he doesn’t agree as he said in an interview: “definitely not, my appearance maybe too fastidious, mothers says me as someone who has something to hide, so my clothes are too colorful and I could talk about make-up and hair products with them. There for these are  not topics discussed by a potential boyfriend”, but it’s not true, a lot of mother would like someone like you…

He likes TV-series a lot (light one, such as Ugly Betty).

Fasa, his real name is Daniel Fasano, is the drummer, he was born in Vercelli, unlike the others who come from Aosta. His music is influenced by Chemical Brothers and Metal in general. He joined the project thanks to the web. His hobby is playing and he spends 5 or 6 hours per day at the drum.

Record Company: they started with Bliss&Co and now they are with Emi.

Normal boys who come from different musical experiences.

Many songs in many different styles, however always perfect, which is rare for singers today.

So lets analyze their most popular songs.

Wale tanto Wale their debut song. At the time many people wondered why they used the “W” and they honestly and naively answered: “ because the “v” didn’t work on the computer keyboard”… It is called “sms” song because of the schematic language used by the band in the text. A language which is very closed to that used by teenagers everyday. This song was definitely a big success in the summer of 2007, sung and heard by everybody.

Lei al centro %, this song was written by Dari for the auditions of  “Sanremo festival 2009”. When they got the news the boys with their production manager, Mimmo Capuano, decided to work on a new song, especially for Sanremo. They worked on the song all night and in the morning they had “Lei al centro %”. The video for the audition was filmed a November morning in 2008. Dari were rejected from the selections of Sanremo 2009 (although there is a gossip on the web that they auditioned in 2007 with “wale tanto wale” but they were rejected too). This song will became one of the most loved song of Dari.

Più di te, this song, Dari latest success, of summer 2010, became very popular among teenagers thanks again to the third place at the “MTV-The summer songs 2010”. The song speaks about capital sins.

Non pensavo, this song is written by Dari, and sung with Max Pezzali. When you first hear it, it reminds you of  Max’s songs, but unfortunately this is not the case. The song describes the weakness of a boy who has been dumped, but he is still very much in love with her.

Other songs are: Cercasi Aaamore, Casa casa mia, Tutto regolare, Minimale maxibene, Moltiplicato 10, Diventa come un fiore, Phorse and many more.

Well we can say they are set to became number one. So why do they remain a niche phenomenon? Why are they more criticized than appreciated?

In my opinion they will be remembered, and will became a world phenomenon…
